RE: My Demotape Out NOW!!!!
I think it sounds awesome! I like the tempo and the tone of the 1st song, nice vocals too! Keep up the great work!

Friends are the most important ingredient in this recipe of life!
When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.

Ha! Recording techniques! Usually in most mainstream professional studios, they record the band (or rhythm section) first. After laying down all the instruments, vocal is the last part to be recorded.

It allows you to focus on the details without asking everyone to replay the whole song again. Imagine that you had to record the whole song again because of one note.

It's alright. You can ask me to do sound editing next time. I think Audacity is good enough to do just that.

Btw, on blasting music.. For a punk rocker to play in a band, I'd advise you to wear earplugs. You don't want to suffer from hearing loss after a few years of performing. I had my ears ringing last time when I went to a local indie music festival. It's really time for us musicians to SAVE OUR EARS!!

Are you doing any post-processing to it or just recording direct to your choice of recording medium?

Hollud. Simply, horse.

RE: My Demotape Out NOW!!!!
all together... about RM1150... we started recording the intrumental parts at about 2pm and ended at about 7pm... then we started the vocals at 10 and ended at 2AM... it was a long and tiring day... huhuhuhu

RE: My Demotape Out NOW!!!!
RM1150 for 5 songs, for (i assume) 4 band members. That's like 50something for 1 song per person.

Wow, and all of you record all the 5 songs in 1 day. You guys are really tight then. Planning any gigs outside yet? There's a lot of place you can try. Library, Solaris, Avenue K etc. etc.

RE: My Demotape Out NOW!!!!
we've been trying but it looks harder then it seems... a band without enough exposure usally gets the last pick for gig... and finding a gig that is in its planning phase is really hard... but we'll keep trying... =D

Take it slowly. Join some band competition whenever there's a chance. Build up your profile with pics and videos. Btw, do you guys have a MySpace band page already?
