Great.. now I want a camera.. anyone could quote me a price for a simple DSLR where I can play along with the controls?
Nice set of photos by the way.

I'm using a Nikon D60. Not sure if its still the cheapest out there, but I got it at student price. Was about RM 1,500-ish I think.

I don't have any other lenses besides the one it came with though. ):

The D60 is being phased out. Pretty good beginner's camera, if you can still find one in stock.

If you're aiming for the newer models on the market, start with the EOS 1000D or the D3000. Simple, basic cameras that should work well in the paws of a budding photographer.

By the way, Katsuke, your shots are technically solid. You do, however, need to work the creative juices a bit more to fully take advantage of the technical advantage. Some of the shots are a bit "busy" in the background (read: too much distractions away from the main subject), so try to find a more neutral, plain background or turn up the level of bokeh.

Perhaps, but The Horse is full steam ahead when it comes to these sort of things.

That is, until the jackal of doom steps in. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Hollud. Simply, horse.

Oh cool, thankies. Smile
Well, I kinda like Depth of Field in my shots but...I'm still figuring how to master it. Will look forward to taking more tips from you tho~
