Public Reactions
Hi fuzzies,

Just a reminder that suiting has a time and place. The general public still isn't very accepting of walking animals:

Well, so much for my plans to get a fursuit. I have ten bucks that says if someone holds a furmeet in some nature reserve, everyone will get tranked and sent to the zoo.

Find me and my small amount of lousy, somewhat-TF-related stories at Shifti.org! Alternatively, just look for the other, better writers there.

RE: Public Reactions
I think this has more to do with the fact that they tried to pass it off as a random bear rampaging up on Stomp (viral marketing) than just a mascot.

RE: Public Reactions
Well, that's Singapore, or when your government gets too efficient:
Even though most of the general public, were reported to have, treated the video as a joke. Based on just an internet video, they over-reacted paranoidly, deployed specialist teams of personnel "to be safe" to handle the situation. Called in the cops, called in the zoo, called in all sorts of NGOs, WWF, WTF, TFK ...
And when they finally embarrassingly realized it was just an internet joke, they immediately point a finger, a fine, a legal shotgun at the perpetrators and accuse them for "threatening public peace and society" ... even though it was entirely their own fault.
Quote:"That wasted a lot of our resources," ACRES executive director Louis Ng told AFP, adding that the stunt "really crossed the line" and caused fear among residents in the area.
Right ... how about putting a "We" at the start of that sentence, Mr Ng?

And as of tonight, I'm still waiting for news the capture of the elusive, nefarious, cap wearing, handphone wielding, teenage terrorists who are constantly trying to blow up the MRT trains ...

RE: Public Reactions
Well, it proves that the Singaporean authorities lack a sense of humour.... and just too dumb to live. XD

It is illogical to have a wild bear roaming in Singapore for the first place.

RE: Public Reactions
Trust me when I say I am slightly fearful of them getting all bonkers and call out the zoo and any dragon-related wildlife NGOs during the Halloween fursuiting XD

The idea of a shotgun would be rather novel... except for the fact that we'll be roaming around a neighbourhood with many American expats. With the memories of school shootings back in their motherland, the last thing (I believe) they want to see is a dragon-gone-rogue.

That and they may sic the (fake or real) cops on you.

Also notable, by the epic mrbrown...
