And in all honesty Micky, don't you think its about time you started inking your works?
I think your sketching has come to a point where inking can help you improve.

Haha thanks! I do ink them sometimes.. But lately I've been (blah blah blah excuses excuses) Haha ok fine, I just gotta get off my lazy arse and get to it.

But I'm scared to doing it wrong and ruining the original. If I get my printer fixed, I could make a copy and ink that, or I could try to digitally ink em since I found my web tablet pen. =)

Nope, those are all invalid reasons and more excuses Devil

Just do a random "non-priority" sketch to sacrifice as for your inking practices. Even if you did ink your originals, as long as you're focused and careful with your inking, it will more likely turn out better than not Winking

Trust me, its a whole lot easier to do inking on paper, then scan them in and correct mistakes digitally.
Compare that to struggling to configure your scanner to get the pencil lines to be scanned properly (a real nightmare >< ) and then struggle with tablet inking :/

actually yeah, trying to ink digitally normally discourages me to ink or color my stuff. I'll give it a shot Big smile

RE: Micky's sketchbook (yee haw!)
I think it can be safe to assume that your "toon" style is pretty dug in and established Winking
However, no matter how "abstract" your style is, you must still have a good grasp of basic dimensions and shapes.

In some of your artworks, the character's faces look distorted ... and ... out of shape :/
Your style of lines work best for 2 dimensional drawings of limbs, arms and hair. However when it comes to faces and heads, you are limited to the basic dimensions and shapes. You either go all out and make an "alien face" or you abide by their rules. Deviating slightly on those rules would leave you with Quasimodo Tongue

That is much better! Inked artworks do give a better sense of focus and consistency Winking

And congratulations, for being one of the rare few artists who has managed to get Kai Whitewolf's enormous ears and tail looking "just right" Tongue Except for one mistake ... he goes "Yarf?!" not "Hi" XD
